MAGE
Many have asked for an explanation of what a MAGE is. In what follows
I hope to be able to explain it. It is not an easy thing to explain. May
the powers give me guidance in this endeavor.
Explaining what a Mage is Is not an easy task. But here goes. Probably
best to explain it by first explaining the bases and some of the fundamentals
of MAGE!
MAGE!

A Mage is one who walks in the distant beyound one who uses the raw chaos
energies directly. The concept of mage is often easiest to explain
using geometry.

Picture first a single dot. That is what is seen by most people those who
do not use or do not have the perception to see into the "magical realms".

Now picture a line. Those are people who have enough understanding
to understand that the realms may exist but they do not have enough believe
and understanding to be able to make use of that knowledge.

Next picture a flat plane. These are the people who can make use of the
magic in a form known as EARTHEN. They range from illusionist, to sorcerer,
to psychic, to wizard in strength.

Next picture a solid geometric form a cube for example. These are
those people who have begun the use of raw chaos energy intermixing in
their magic. This is called YARLIN. They can see a number of planes
and can make use of those different planes at the same time.

Next make the geometric shape transparent. Now all sides of the geometric
form can be seen at once and all that is inside the form can be seen as
well. The underling formation of all the magic can be seen, understood
and used! This uses pure raw chaos energy. This is called STAR.

EARTHEN: YARLIN: STAR:
EARTHEN:
Earthen based magic is the use of items about a person.
These items are used to manipulate and influence the environment
about them.
Such items include rituals, prayers, and the use of physical items.
Things such as the preverbal "eye of newt", "tail of lizard", "wing
of bat".
Each used due to its representation of some aspect the magic user
wishes to incorporate into the particular spell.
Each uses different items as prescribed by their religious and
instinctive believes.
Psychics are placed in the earthen category due to them not using
the raw chaos energy and the proximity they are locked into when they use
their abilities.
They use things such as stones, crystals, and incenses.
Their range of ability is locked into what might be considered
a more linear since. They are locked to the earth.
As example: the earth.
YARLIN:
Yarlin is when a person begins to see in a greater form and gains
access to the use of raw chaos.
The raw chaos gives the person a greater ability to understand
and manipulate the environment around themselves and gives a greater range
in the beyound.
The higher up in Yarlin one reaches the less use of the material
items a person is required to use in their magic.
The application of Yarlin requires more of the mind to function.
Application of thought and force of will added with the material
items while drawing on the connection the person has created with the raw
chaos for the added required energy and structured forming of the applied
spell.
As Example: the galaxy
STAR:
The use of the raw chaos directly with out the added use of physical
items.
This direct use gives an even greater freedom of movement and
expantion in the beyound and use of abilities.
Direct contact with the chaos alows it to flow freely through you
and you to flow freely through it.
Distance is non-existant.
Reaching to the farthest star is mearly a matter of "thinking"
yourself there.
Star uses stricly the mind to activate and use.
Raw Chaos directed by the mind, form with the will.
